Company History
COMANCO was founded in 1989 by T.R. Johnson, Mark A. Topp and Bob Johnson as a specialty
environmental and civil construction company, providing geomembrane lining and HDPE
piping products and services to the phosphate industry in the Southeast United States.
While we continue to serve the world’s phosphate producers to help facilitate their
commitment to environmentally responsible operations and practices, COMANCO has
expanded geographically to become an industry leader in all environmentally sensitive
markets where containment of liquid, semi-solid and solid waste is required. The
company has been recognized, annually since 2004, by Engineering News Record
among the Top 200 Environmental Firms in the country.
